NOTD: Nubar Indigo Illusion

Indigo Illusion is one of Nubar's classical duochromes. I love this color! The shimmer seems like it's pink most of the time, but appears golden in certain lights. I've gotten so many compliments on this polish, and people at work usually never notice my nails.

NOTD: Precision Sugar Plum Fairy

Mmmmmm, sugary, shimmery, frosty Precision goodness! I quite like this polish. I think it's interesting, but work appropriate at the same time. Application was quite good too.

NOTD: Nubar Unpredictable Taupe + Konad C05

Another Coraline Konad. This time with the little lady herself. Those plates are fun! This one is very difficult to takes pictures of because the Nubar polish is so shiny. I like how it came out though. I used the Konad special polish in black for the stamp.

If you want your own set of Coraline konad, I suggest you check out the offer in the left sidebar :)

NOTD: Nubar Unpredictable Taupe

Hmmm, this one is difficult to photograph. I guess it's because of the frosty/metallic finish. It's gorgeous on the nails though and highly pigmented. I'm wearing one coat of polish in the picture. I bet it would work wonderfully for Konad too!

NOTD: OPI Overexposed in South Beach

Phew, I finally found a South Beach collection polish that I don't love! I still like it though. It has nice shimmer and application was good. It's just not very unique. As you can see from the pics, the break in my nail finally broke off completely. Fortunately my nails seem to be growing quickly.

NOTD: Fingerpaints Brilliant Brushstrokes + Konad m73

Another konad mani with m73. This is a really nice plate! Lots of cool options. I used the Konad special polish in black.

NOTD: Fingerpaints Brilliant Brushstrokes

This one reminds me a lot of China Glaze Ruby Pumps though that is the case for most shimmery/glittery red polished. It applied very well. It's just hard for me to apply on the suddenly short nails!

NOTD: OPI Suzi & the Lifeguard

Hmmm, so apparently I'm falling in love with the polishes from the South Beach collection. I guess I shouldn't have trashed talked it so much!

Suzi & the Lifeguard is beautiful even if the name makes me cringe! It's a gorgeous, work appropriate pale pink with shimmer.

My New Love: Coraline Set 1

Just look at it (click to enlarge)!

The Nom Nom image is my favorite, of course, but I also really like the frog.

I've tried the blue and the pink polishes so far, and they make nice stamps. I'm happy that they have a bit of shimmer unlike the "normal" Konad polishes.

I also really like the stamper. For the scraper I still use my plastic one.

NOTD: Nom Nom Konad with Nubar Pyramid Purple + Konad Plate C05

OMG, look, it's a Nom Nom Konad! The image is from the small Coraline set. I used the pink and blue polishes that come with the Coraline set. I can't believe I have my own Nom Nom Konad!

If you want to get your own Nom Nom konad then check out OC Nail Art. Kathleen is running a promo and you get 25% off on the Coraline sets with code coralinepixie.

NOTD: Nubar Pyramid Purple

Another goodie from the Cleopatra Collection. This one is a creme. I used two coats, but I should probably have used three. I'm hoping to Konad it tomorrow if it doesn't chip!

NOTD: OPI Ink + Konad m73

I figured that I should use some of the full nail patterns now that my nails are short. The m73 plates has quite a few nice ones. I used China Glaze Emotion for the stamp. I think it looks pretty nice.

NOTD: OPI Ink

One of the best OPI colors ever! Ink is just gorgeous. The shimmer in this polish can't be beat. I love it.

NOTD: La Femme #016

Ugh, this was not what I was expecting. I thought this would be a semi sheer purple with holo glitter. Instead it's an extremely sheer purple with sparse sort of holo glitter. I don't love this. It doesn't help that I didn't completely remove the orange either....

NOTD: Precision Call Me Pumpkin

Well, the good thing about short nails, is that I feel very comfortable wearing bright and dark colors. This one is really bright! It's a beautiful neon orange. Another advantage is that you need fewer coats of polish on shorts nails. I think I used two coats for this mani.

NOTD: Nubar Nile Purple

Uhoh, first post-break NOTD! I find polish application really difficult when I got from long to short nails. I always end up with way too much polish on the brush. I really like Nile Purple. The shimmer is very pretty.

Thank you for all the comment on my "break post". I really appreciate it :) You guys are the bomb!

Nail Break = Blog Break :(

Hi all!

Sorry for the lack of posts in the last few days. I had a break on one of the nails on my left hand. The break is located pretty low on the nail, so it hurts when I use polish remover.

I hope to be back tomorrow with pics of my much shorter nails!

I have some pretty cool stuff to share with you too! The small Coraline kit, NYX makeup, and Nubars :D

NOTD: Color Club Oooooo La La

This was another one of the polishes I used as a base for konad. I really like it by itself too. It's nice to find a white that applies well. It makes me look pretty tan too!

NOTD: Misa Shop Till U Drop

More Misa! This gorgeous color is called Shop Till U Drop, and how can you argue with that? I really, really like this color. It has some very subtle bluish shimmer. I used three coats.

NOTD: Misa She's A Wanderer

Hmmm, not really loving this. I think it might be too much of a fall shade for the hot weather. Application wasn't as great as my other Misas either. I used three coats for my mani.

NOTD: China Glaze Custom Kicks

I've had a few people ask what NOTD stands for lately. It is short for Nail Of The Day :)

And today my NOTD is China Glaze Custom Kicks from the new(ish) Kicks collection. Custom Kicks is one of the shimmers in the collection. It is bright, but not quite Neon. Application was good. I use three coats.

NOTD: OPI Sand in My Suit

Wow, I really didn't expect to love this, but I do! It's absolutely gorgeous. Great application, fantastic pigmentation, and lovely, lovely, shimmer. I might even need to buy a backup!
